What is [INVALID FORM VAR] in webpages created from HTML template in TOTECS®

I've created the HTML file for the home template and I might be missing something, because when I create a page using the template, its coming up with a few [INVALID FORM VAR]. I have added hooks including the $head_hook$. What am I missing here?
