XSQUIZZIT developed the facility for Link International to create an opportunity for their customers to find parts available for thousands of motor cycle models. Up until now, Link International have offered this service via their printed catalogue. Over time this catalogue has expanded into a large document and is both time consuming to maintain and cumbersome to search. Furthermore the catalogue is expensive to print and does not included models introduced since print.
Now, customers can login online and find parts based on Vehicle Make/Model/Year. Mark Kelly from Link explains the power of the new facility. “A customer can find the available rear Brake Pads for a KTM EXC 2003 series model within seconds”. Furthermore they can quickly glance the other parts available for this model.
Beyond the customer experience, managing Make/Model data is cumbersome. Link maintained various spreadsheets. “Adding parts is tricky. Our spreadsheets are setup for the printed catalogue so adding new parts is often problematic. Now we have the XSQUIZZIT Parts Catalogue Application. The application allows us to add models and parts to the database. We can also set model attributes and part attributes that give extra information such as suitable chain lengths or standard gear ratios.” The application also has features to generate and export the Link international catalogue spreadsheets and a list of new parts created that can be imported into the Warehouse Distribution system. Mark speaks passionately about the business value “What took 2 people 3 months to refine and collate, the Parts Catalogue Management Application exports spreadsheets in 10 minutes styled to match our catalogue layout. This has been an enormous time saver. Better still, we know all the data is accurate”.
